The Coomera Connector is South East Queensland’s largest road infrastructure project, and will improve how we move around our neighbourhoods.

The $2.16 billion Stage 1 project, between Coomera and Nerang, is jointly funded (50:50) by the Australian Government and Queensland Government.
Coomera Connector Stage 1 Central package is from Helensvale Road, Helensvale to Smith Street Motorway, Molendinar.
The scope of the project includes:
8km three lanes in each direction between Helensvale Road and Smith Street Motorway (HR2SS)
Service interchanges
22 new bridges
Modifications to multiple existing overpasses at Gold Coast Highway, Town Centre Drive & Sage Street
Reconstruction of Ridgevale Drive Bridge
Realignment of existing roads
Upgraded parking at Parkwood Light Rail Station
Upgraded pedestrian access and shared active transport path for entire length
